Hi, I’m Hannah
I care about my clients, and I love what I do. I feel honored that my clients take leaps of faith in sharing their stories with me, allowing me facilitate and bear witness to their incredible growth.
I feel excited and energized by connecting with my clients. Together we work to create realization, connection, and understanding that leads to deep and lasting change. I truly enjoy helping people strengthen their relationships, navigate parenting challenges, reduce struggles with food, and recover from traumatic experiences. As someone who appreciates the power of stories and narratives, I also find great meaning in helping people navigate identity in various ways such as new motherhood, career, and cultural identity. Honestly, I enjoy working with anyone who is curious and reflective. Together we can help you to feel more confident in your body, to deepen your relationships, and to weather life’s storms with intention and growth.
I would love to speak with you and learn about your personal hopes for therapy. Please contact me to set up a phone consultation. I welcome your questions and look forward to helping you navigate the process of finding a therapist.
My Approach to Therapy
My therapeutic style is warm, engaged, and collaborative. When we begin work together, my primary goal is to create a space in which you feel able to tell your story. This will help me understand where you are coming from and what your hopes are for our work together. Each person’s needs are different, and so I tailor my approach to who you are, and your specific concerns.
I work using evidence based methods to help you effect change, and I trust that you are the expert on yourself. Together we create a genuine and in-depth relationship that is supportive, empowering and growth fostering. This experience in therapy strengthens and transforms your sense of self, which in turn allows you to create a more fulfilling and joyful life.
I draw primarily from a relational approach. As such, I believe that the most powerful healing comes from the experience of connection through relationship. This means that I listen carefully to understand your unique experience and respond with empathy, authenticity and compassion. I tend to be an active therapist, which means that while I take a supportive stance, I also gently challenge you to promote optimal change and growth.
I incorporate a feminist, multicultural lens and value conversations about multiple, intersecting identities, and issues of power and privilege. As someone who appreciates the impact of interpersonal relationships, I take seriously the effect of power differentials and systemic oppression as it relates to race, class, gender, sexuality, age, ability, and religion.
